Brand New Custom Forged Camp Knife. This is a heavy duty knife! Steel is O1 tool steel. The blade is 10 1/8" long, 2" wide and 3/16" thick!!! This blade is saber ground and totally straight. The width of the blade in combination with the properties of O1 tool steel give it the ability to be sharpened at a low angle, thus providing a very sharp edge. The total length is 15.5"! There is very attractive file decoration on the spine ant the full tang of the knife.
The handle is exceptionally made out of elk stag. Its length is 5.5". The elk stag slabs are held in place by two metallic studs, two brass grommets. This is as solid of a handle as a handle can be. One of the two grommets is a the front part of the handle and the other at the very end. They can easily accommodate paracord to make a lanyard. If you have watched the Bladesports you will have noticed that many of the contestants place the lanyard at the front part of the handle. Of course there are many who rather have it at the rear. This handle will please both tastes.
The sheath is handmade of full grain leather. It is fold over with a welt and a perfectly executed double row stitching. The leather belt loop will easily accommodate belts up to 3" wide.
This is a very versatile knife: you can build a shelter with it, butcher any animal with it, open up a coconut, open up a trail, make a fishing spear or, flip your stakes. Its size and shape make it give it also the ability to use it as a short machete.
