Brand New in the Box Discontinued Chris Reeve Neil Roberts Warrior Knife. It has never been used or, carried before. The Neil Roberts Warrior Knife is dedicated to the memory of Petty Officer First Class Neil Roberts, killed in action during Operation Anaconda, Afghanistan 2002, and the first SEAL to lose his life in action since 1989. Commissioned by retired Navy Chief Steven C. Bronson and designed by Bill Harsey with input from Chris Reeve, the Warrior knife is manufactured to the uncompromising standards for which Chris Reeve Knives is known worldwide.
Knife steel is CPM-S30V treated with KG Gun-Kote. Blade length is 6.5" long, blade thickness is 0.220". It has a swedge and a spear-point tip which is very strong. The blade features a softly curved edge that makes the edge bite very deep in a pull cut. Overall length is 11". The blade profile is saber ground, offering an excellent combination of strength and cutting/chopping power. On the left side of the blade it is engraved "Neil Roberts - BDU/S Class 184". On both sides of the ricasso there are the Chris Reeve logo and Bill Harsey's signature.
The handle grips are made of Black Canvas Micarta and are formed to the shape of the steel including a single index finger groove on the bottom and a ramped ridged thumb stop on the top. The back ends of the Micarta material flare slightly so that you get a perfect grip. The Micarta grip panels are attached to the steel with three recessed head allen screws on each side – a total of six holding the panels in place. The full tang of the knife extends past the handle slabs to from a pounding area. This features a lanyard loop / hole at the rear top corner of the knife. The knife comes equipped with an ample lanyard made of tan colored paracord.
The knife comes with the original Tan colored Combat Master nylon-over-kydex sheath by Spec-Ops. The sheath is parachute jump-qualified. It has a snap closure that offers superb knife retention. Furthermore, it has a substantial front pocket that will accommodate a double staggered pistol magazine, a large folding knife, a sharpener or, a full size pocket tool. The pocket flap closes with an extra strong velcro. This sheath has MOLLE attachment points and steel rivet eyeholes for ties. It also has a significant length of tan paracord that can be used in a multitude of applications.
The knife and sheath are in the original Chris Reeve box with all original paperwork. This is a truly amazing combat/utility knife!
