Brand New Spyderco Paramilitary 2

I'm debating between getting a PM2 or a regular Spyderco Military, it seems that most people prefer the PM2 instead of the Military.

I like carrying blades that are longer than the PM2, so I'm leaning more towards getting a regular Spyder-Miltary.

So my question is, why do most people think the PM2 is better?

Here in Colorado, we can't carry a blade larger than 3.5" and it's probably the same in many other states. The PM2 is perfect for EDC because it is just under 3.5". I think I would carry it even if I could carry a larger blade, but I understand why people choose to carry the big knives. I really like the Military, too and I think most would agree.

I am a retired police officer in the Sunshine State. I never, in my entire career, asked a law abiding citizen about his pocket knife. Now if you were in a high crime area, basically with the dope zone , chances were you would be given "special attention", or out drinking and acting stupid you would also receive the same attention. If you use common sense, blade lengths are really a non issue. Unless you are carrying around a samurai SWORD, you will probably be left alone by law enforcement. Not a guarantee, just my opinion, for what it's worth.

That's good to know because I have wanted to carry my Kershaw Tremor with a 3 3/4" blade. Colorado knife laws are reasonable because most EDC knives are under 3.5", but it's nice to carry some big blades for a change. :)
