Our 'Uno' is a classic 7/8's half hollow straight razor with barber's notch. It is slightly larger than a standard straight razor, allowing a sure grip for people with large hands. It's not too large, but provides a little extra room for fingers. Plus the barber's notch let's you get in to those hard to reach places.
The Uno is manufactured using US 1095 High Carbon Steel hardened to between HRC55-60 with a target of HRC58. Its blade is polished to a bright finish. Its scales are hand shaped Gabon ebony wood displaying its rich brown color and grain. They are polished to a satiny smooth finish. The wedge is a bold yellow heart wood. To complete the assembly, hand-peened brass pins with flat brass washers secure the scales and blade making for a finely crafted straight razor.
I used its few times and found I like smaller blades better. Has been honed. $125 shipped.
