Greetings all,

You've seen the knife is some detail in Stuart's thread here:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ter-sheath-pics-added-post-34?highlight=relic

The knife crossed the border twice for Coop to give is a better look. I'll just add that the knife is every bit as good as the photos suggest. One day I will be looking back at the price at which Stuart's work could be attained and laughing. Or maybe crying. Or both. Great job Stuart!

And the insane hamon:

That is a beauty. Hard to believe that Stuart has only been forging for a couple of years.

That is a fantastic knife Stuart, with an incredible image, congratulations Roger, you have a wonderful piece ..

I can't point out any one thing specific that makes me covet this knife -
I can't decide if its the different materials or the contrasting styles that draw my eyes along its lines...mesmerizing!

What I do know for sure is I have a couple oak handled Branson's that could use some company.

Stuart you built an amazing knife and Mr. Cooper you captured its "essence" beautifully!
Roger it will make a wonderful addition to the "Pinnock Gallery"

Stuart- I challenge you to make a feminine knife!

Stu's knives are like the Ernest Hemingway of custom knives.

This was fun and challenging. Absolutely as engaging as you all are seeing. The blade HAS this hamon, yet it needed a bit of lighting work to show it in the core image. Done.

I kept finding new views to capture. I couldn't put it down. :D

Thanks to BOTH of you. As Roger and I always do, I ship it to him and he posts only when he has a hands-on feel for it. We hold our breath as it crosses the borders. This time twice.

Thanks for admiring my work, but it's Stuart's work that is key.

Such an interesting piece! I have loved it since Stuart's initial post. Happy to see what's transpired since. Great job!

Good move, Roger.

I like that we make me change opinion. I dont' like too much the " Brut of forge ", handles engraved not particularly.....

But here the result is magnificent, I adore EVERY Thing .......

Long live the talent !!!

Thanks Roger. I am really glad you sent this to Coop, his photos are amazing. Maybe my eyes are getting old but I think I can see it more clearly in his photos than when I had it in hand. :p

Thanks for the comments everyone. I quite liked this one and I'm happy to see the sentiment is shared.

@Lorien, that comment made me laugh though I'm not sure what a "feminine" knife would look like...

What about a woman's knife?
