Branson Relic Oak Fighter - A Second Look

Thanks for sharing this Roger... Stuart that is one beautiful knife! Congrats to both of you.

This is exactly the style of knife I love, and the execution on this is about as good as it gets, in my opinion.

As for the Viking woman's knife, it may be, but she's a burly woman. :D

Thanks very much for the comments gents. As you can imagine, I'm pretty tickled with this one. Thanks again to both Stuart and Coop.

Mark me down as another one diggin' the contrasting design elements.
As always, superior imaging, Coop !
Great work, Stuart !
Sweet pick up, Roger !

Wow, that's stunning. I can't say which detail I like the most; the hamon, the way the grain of the wood is accentuated by the lovely carving, the overall design (particularly that circular guard style), etc. Stuart's work always makes me drool. I actually have the thread about one of his swords bookmarked so I can drool over it on a regular basis. This piece really is amazing though. I'd be proud to own something like that. Great pictures by Coop, as usual.

Wow. I tell you what, when you look at the pics from the original thread, it really came alive in Coop's photos!

Really glad there was some good sheath pictures included!

wow, so much cool stuff going on with that knife.

Amazing hamon, a wicked top grind that I just think is so stunning, and that oak handle is striking!! What a nice piece.
