Bobby saw my For Sale post on his knife and emailed me.
“You can add that I've only made 5-6 of that design and IIRC that is the only one in stag.”
Bobby

One of a kind....don't miss your chance to own it.

Here's the story on how this knife came to be made.

I first heard the name Bobby Branton in Knives ‘99, on page 63 I saw one of his Boot knives, I marked the page. I used to do a lot of graphics work for different makers. In 2001 Bobby asked if I could do some graphics work for him and I said, “Sure!” When he asked, “What do you want in return?” I said read my signature, “Will Work 4 Knives”. When he asked, “What knife?” I said, “If I send you the stag will you make me one of your Model 2 Boot knives?” I know Bobby would have much rather pay me in cash, he told me how busy he was with all his other business and that if I wanted the knife I would have to wait. Well, since I had wanted one of his knives for over 2 years waiting a little longer wasn’t a problem so I said, “Fine, get to it when you can.” I sent him the stag in March. I finally got to meet him in June at 2001 Blade Show. At NYCKS in Nov. 2001, Andy Prisco handed me my knife from Bobby.

Bobby had told me because of his making throwers and hawks it had been two years since he made a knife like this and he just hoped I would like it. He also showed the knife to George Herron for his opinion before he sent it. I told Bobby, if he was putting his name on it and Mr. George gave it his okay, it would probably pass my inspection.

This knife is a MINT beauty, mirror polished ATS-34, thick stag scales that fill the hand, with the fit and finish of a true artist. The Herron influence was all over this knife and the workmanship was great, and Bobby needs to find more time to make more knives like this.

You don't have to wait two years for this knife.
