The more I look around for sebenzas, the more I find other makers doing this style.

The ones I have found are the Bradley Alias, Scott Cook Lochsa, Chris Reeves Sebenza, and now Branton Knives Raider.

Here is a pic:

Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of these?
How does this compare to the others?
Also, does anyone know of any other knives in this class of folders?

Thanks!

I used to own a Branton Raider. Here are some random thoughts based on my recollections.

It compared well to a large Sebenza. The textured handle was grippy on both sides. I think it felt a bit more comfortable in the hand than the Sebbie. The lock up was very strong, the blade sharp from the shop and Bobby will Scotchbrite the blade to give that cool custom satin finish. The knife was well balanced in the hand and felt lighter than a large Sebbie.

Another one to add to the list is the new Scott Cook Umnumzaan. It looks very impressive. With all these options I may just have to buy all of them. ;)

I think they are listed at $375 for the basic knife. I believe there are available options and I am waiting to hear back form the maker regarding those.

chris reeve umnuumzaan?

by most accounts it is just as nice as the sebenza. im not yet sold on the aesthetics, but imagine ill own one eventually.

ive seen a decorated umnuum, i think it was a prototype. i haven't seen any options otherwise.

I really like the look of them. Im not short on cash which is probably the only reason Im going to buy one. If I could only buy one of the ones listed it would be the Large Sebenza. Fortunately life has treated me well, and as a result I can buy 'em all :D
