In a shrill high-pitched song voice I hear David Guetta's "Titanium"...."Titanium"...

Bring it!

It's funny I ordered two brass beads this morning before I saw this post. Then I read this and had to tack on a stainless. I've been trying to get one for my fieldtac for over a month now. Yay!!!

Dude, I could have totally helped you with that. I would have taken that fieldtac off your hands then you wouldn't have needed it :D

^ Haha! I'm taking that sucker to my grave with me. That thing is my pride and joy. I still unsheath it every night and drool all over it.

^^^ Ha!

Btw, Jensen - have you given the Fieldtac a go on anything? I've been scouring the interwebz for use reviews (I expect to hear only good things) but all I can find are "oooh, look how pretty this is" or other inane "reviews" that do nothing more than show it off. I'd like to see it actually being used, or at least discussion of such.

So - since I can't find the info (or a Fieldtac for that matter) I'd be more than happy to take it camping for a weekend and provide a review. I'll send it right back in a couple of years, or when I can find my own.....;)

I own a bunch of field and bushcraft type fixed blades, many of which are really really good knives, but now of course I'm beginning to covert, err ahem, would like to aquire one of these :)

No not yet. But i plan to soon. I'm going to my old mans hunting camp on opening day so hopefully I can put it to the test. I'm sure that it will be a great hunting/camp knife. It's a beast! Thick blade but sharp as hell.

Thanks rubi. Isnt it hard for you to type with one hand? I bet you haven't put that new score down since you snapped those photos. You must be a good multitasker. :)

Indeed. It is difficult to resist examining and admiring :) as I am sure you have experienced with those fine examples in your picture.

J - great pic! I like the lanyard on the Fieldtac, nice to see something other than 550 cord on occasion.

I think I might slap a lanyard and bead on my HDS today, I find it's slick texture in conjunction with a fairly tight clip makes it a bit tough to retrieve from my pocket at times.. Plus, I have a bunch of beads and 550 cord laying around ;)

Thanks buddy. That's actually some of the cord from the fieldtacs sheath. I liked the color with the orange and the working finish. I really like the cord on my hds also. Its much easier draw like you mentioned. I bent my clip out a little also to ease it a bit. Post some pics if you decide to put lanyards on.

N2K I actually got the idea for my HDS lanyard from you. I used your pic as a reference when I tied it :) so thanks buddy!

In that case you may consider tying a knot in the 550 close to the light. The loop will slide up/down the body but won't loosen and allow the light to fall free.
