Is there a way to solder it where it will look good? going with a hand rubbed finish on the blade...

my cousin can solder so i may have him do it, just dont know what i need to get..

or would JB weld be betteR?

Full tang or stick tang? Solder on brass and steel always has been easy to get a nice fillet of solder around it.

if your not sure about soldering you can notch your blade/tang to wear your blade is a little bit thicker than the tang, make it a tight fit and solder from the back side of the hilt, that way any mess is covered with the handle makes it a really smooth transition until you get good enough to do it from the front.

Use a soft lead pencil and mark where you want the solder NOT to go. Use a good flux, like Stay Clean, make sure the joint is cleaned to bright metal. You can use lead or lead/tin solder. Low temp silver solder is not necessary with carbon steel and brass.

You can clean the solder off the 1095 pretty easy since it alot harder. Scrape with sharp brass and sand with your final grit.
