Some of the local guys charge so much, I can buy different stock materials cheaper on the internet, pay shipping, and still come out much better. You have Westbrook Metals in Austin, as we do here in San Antonio. If you need something right away, they can be OK, but never great.

On the other forums I participate in, several have used these guys and swear by them. This link if to Enco, and I did a quick search on "brass". This isn't their cheapest stuff, but it is the American made brass bar stock. This was just to give you an idea of what they have.
