Brass to steel (Not Knife, tho...)

Okay, it's not knifemaking, but I KNOW someone here will have a good answer! The brass ramrod pipe closest to the muzzle pulled off and the threads are stripped. the rail under the barrel removes and the pipe screws on from the "top" so there's not much room for expansion. Is there a good way to solder/weld this back or is it a better practice to re-thread and use a bigger screw. Looks like a weak link to me.

Just use the low temp silver solder. The 430o, to 450o stuff. Originals were usually soldered in place anyway.

You mean like the plumbing solder? <EDIT> Whoops, read to fast... You did say SILVER solder. :)
