Trigalights are laser sealed borosilicate glass vials which are internally coated with phosphor injected with gaseous tritium (this is the special stuff) which reacts with the phosphor to create a cold energy which produces a low level light source with no filaments or heat dissipation and no risk of fire or explosion.

They are unaffected by water, oil and most corrosive materials and require no external power source or exposure to light, remaining fail-safe and maintenance free with a lifetime in excess of 10-20 years.

Hey you really should use some loc tite on these. I loved mine and put it on my keys after only a couple days I noticed the bottom cap was gone??? I honestly didn't know they were screwed on I thought they were permenately attached. Luckily the tritium hadn't fallen out. But all I could find to replace the lost cap was a chrome acorn nut. So the ends don't match anymore but I can still find my keys in the dark ;)

akthor, yes, I had that problem with some of the first batch, but it's resolved long ago.
Please, give me your adress again and I'll send you one empty container with new design ;)
