Bravo 1 or RAT5

Bravo 1.

Or get both.

 Actually I'm sure I probably will get both. Its just a question of next:)

It sounds though that my worries about the thickness of the Bravo1 are unfounded. Thanks for the info.

I Own a Bravo-1 and RAT-3. The Ontario RATs are nice, very nice, but still they don;t hold a candle to the Bravo-1 (in my opinion)

Get used to it, Jonny! It was only two years ago when I got the AG Russell catalog after getting a pair of nailclippers. Then I came on here with a few questions about SOG. A couple years later and a dozens of knives later, I find if I REALLY want a knfe, I just wait a week or two, and if I still feel the same way, I get it.

And you know what, you're not too far from Solvang. If I were there, I'de be FLAT BROKE.

I think the answer to that is no. It is far tougher than anything that I could throw at it! ;)

Well, I'm sure I'll get a RAT5 eventually, but for now I've ordered a Bravo1.
I ordered it with the black and green micarta handle, a matching firesteel, and the black leather sheath with the firesteel loop.

I've got a long weekend trip planned in early Oct. So hopefully I can put it through the paces then.

Nice score! That survival setup looks very practical.

Keep an eye on RAT Cutlery too - they've got the RC3 out (its sweet, I have Rats 3/5/7 and RTAKII - love the RATs!) - and after getting my hands on it, I'll say that its head and shoulders better than their Ontario stuff. RC4 should be out soon!

I need to get a Barkie one of these days... :D

Bravo first though. You may change your method of comparison.
