Screw ups happen. it's unfortunate that you were the victim of one. Try forming communication with Derick. I'm sure you two can work things out.

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …

Important packages should always be sent with signature confirmation. If USPS says they delivered the package and you have no way of proving otherwise, insurance won't cover the loss. The dealer should not be held responsible, because it is apparent that he shipped the knife. He may be willing to work something out with you, but he is not responsible for replacing the knife.

With any luck USPS will find the knife and get it to you. Good luck.

Certainly not a reflection of Derick's service. I've had similar issues with the postal service not showing up when they should but things have always showed. I would say there is a good chance it will show tomorrow. Good luck.

Maybe the title of this thread should be changed to USPS... Sounds like the dealer did his part.

I've had several orders from Derrick, and they always arrive as scheduled; sometimes even faster than I expected.

This sounds like an unfortunate, but random, PO screw-up that hopefully will be tracked down.
