Got my Bravo 1 and firesteel in matching natural Micarta today. Great knife, fits my hand so well, it's nice and light but still feels super robust. I can't wait until the weekend to play with it :D
And this convex edge is SHARP. Probably actually too sharp for a field blade, but I love it. The spine is square and sharp enough to throw sparks, and man do I love A2 steel  Sorry for the rambling, I'm giddy :p

did you order the fire steel with the knife? I just got my bravo last night with a orange handle but did not know you could order matching fire steel.

Congrats tknife..........  :)

I hate you to the core;) :D

Let us know how "she" does....... although I'm sure I can guess.

Bark River is doing runs of the large military steels with all kinds of options, Micarta, G10, exotic woods. Got them both from DLT Trading. Cool to match up with the knife handle.
I mean too sharp because razor edges seem to get dull quicker in rough field use. I like a blade after lots of use and several sharpenings, the edges just seem to last longer.
I know tarmix, my wallet hates me too right now! But when I saw these, I had to have one. It's a really cool little knife.

I couldn't find those combos on their website. Could somebody please post a link? My doctor tells me I need to ad more Mini-Northstar to my diet!

I have a bunch of the too sharp barkies, including the Bravo-1 w/ matching fire steel (Orange from DLT Trading). I do a lot of hard wood carving. No they don't get dull easily (or even ever). I have a Gameskeeper that I think actually gets sharper with use. It came shaving sharp and now after lots of use and no sharpening, it seems ever more shaving sharp. However I have not tried carving up any bricks or concrete blocks or cold steel chisles, or ... I see that BRKT is doing another run of Bravo-1 immediately. I think they hit a home run with this one.

Ron i know what you mean, maybe I'm just not too used to a nice, razor convex edge.
DLT looks to be sold out of the firesteels, but Mike Stewart of BRK&T said they are making more. Keep an eye out! I really got lucky on mine.

If it holds up like my Northstar's blade, you won't have any complaints about it losing it's edge too quickly. A lite stropping every once in awhile will keep it SHARP!!!!;)

Looks real nice....congrats !
Let's see some pics of it in action real soon eh !!!

At http://www.dlttrading.com/ you can get put on their e-mail list. They are really good about sending out notifcations when new products come in, like more Bravos:D

You can also set up and account listing what knives, etc you are interested in and if they go on sale or more stock comes in, they will e-mail you too.

I've got a weakness for Barkies...haven't got a Bravo yet

Now I am really worked up...I got my order in just the other day for an Orange one....but to hold me over...I got my second hand Gameskeeper in today...awesome knife, I have the northstar, 2 slithers, sandstorm, gameskeeper, and 1 more on the way. Did I say I love Barkies. I think the northstar is an all around winner, great little knife. Slither works fantastic as well, a little more heavy duty than the rest, but it cuts fine.
