Some of you may remember me from the "Izula factory edge" thread. I shared my story of how my Pink Izula didn't come sharp from the factory.

Well, Tuesday of last week I sent it in for re-sharpening. I was pretty excited this afternoon to see that I had an envelope waiting for me. My girlfriend actually snatched it out of my hands. (I never let her open my packages). I turned away as I was reading a book, to let her do MY thing. She pulled out my resharpened Izula, needless to say I was very impressed by the edge that was put on it. :D

THEN, my girlfriend yelled out "What's this?!". Out flops a BRAND NEW Black Izula onto my bed. :eek:Words cannot describe the way I felt.

I can't believe you guys sent me my knife and another new knife! ALL FREE OF CHARGE. Thank you very much. I can't express my gratitude enough.

(Slow claps)

Anyway, just wanted to share with the community, another example of RAT's excellent customer service. This gives me more of a reason to pick up the fire kit and an RC-6 I have been eye-balling.

Round of applause for RAT.

Respectfully,
Emmanuel

(Now if I could only get my girlfriend to stop begging me for the new Izula)

This kind of story is exactly why I decided to order RAT knives over any other company, the positive feedback on customer service is unreal! I can't wait to get my order this week!

LOL..

Hmmmm ...simple principle that is so often missed!!

Customers understand that there will be oversight ...... it's how the supplier responds that makes or breaks his reputation. I have no hesitation in supporting RAT. First class product with a solid crowd backing it.

Well done RAT!!

lol in my studies, I'm always reading about companies striving to achieve a growth percentage not for the sake of growth, but to get a nice bonus. Companies making acquisitions to make lower costs and take advantage of cost synergies (read as LAYING PEOPLE OFF) to increase their bottom line. Companies being slaves to shareholders.

It makes me happy that some executives haven't forgotten the basic tenets of good business. Happy customers means its easier to trick them into buying more of your goods down the line ;D

My feelings presactly! Most of us have probably had several bad customer service experiences over the years, so beyond refreshing to KNOW that a company will stand behind its product and treat their customers as if they matter. I'll definitely continue buying RAT knives.

Well done RAT!

I've never seen this by any company before! A free knife and a resharpening in compensation for a dull edge is over and beyond anything I've ever seen.

I really NEED that first RAT now.

And even more reason to learn how to sharpen your knives. ;)

RAT gear is okay. RAT Cutlery is a good company. Jeff, on the other hand...

Jeff is at his best when he goes on his diatribes to bring this forum, and the knife industry, back to reality. If he starts going all soft and mushy, he won't be worth a shit. ;)

That is over and above good customer service. I occasionally receive knives from well known companies that have poor edges. I just sharpen them myself. These other companies would gladly correct the edge if I asked them to, but they wouldn't send me another knife along with the resharpened one, that's for sure.

Time and time again I tell folks, Rat Cutlery customer service is second to none, and they just keep on proving it over and over... :) Enjoy those blades Emmanuel!

Honestly, I am not surprised that RC sent you another Izula. RC are a wonderful and generous group of people that take care of their honest and sincere customers.

We really appreciate the compliments. Our customer service is built first and foremost on the premise that we treat folks the way we would like to be treated ourselves as a customer. Of course we hope that you will buy more knives from us if we treat you right but that is a secondary benefit to our customer service policy. People deserve a reliable, affordable product and excellent customer service for the money they spend with us. It really is that simple and simply good business. Thank you all for buying and using our knives.

Great story, but typical around here. Mike and Jeff's customer service is as good as it get's. They covered my back when they had no obligation to do so. Congrats on the new Izula. I love my RC knives!!!! :D

Three cheers for RAT Cutlery!!

As has been said manys times already, you ALL are top notch folks running a top notch business.
