Breaching tool recommendations?

They do go smaller.

Much better. Cut the bent end just past the handle slabs and you'll be close. Still a little big though, to me. Feels like 8" to 10" overall is the sweet spot for this, unless you're just going to hang it from your belt and let people wonder what kind of interesting life you lead.

Honestly for the amount of escaping I do. I just carry a 4 max. It would get me though dry wall. Or even besa brick given enough time. Pop a normal door or window.

Just might wreck the knife. Which I am fine with.

Sorry lost my point in all that. The size of bar you need to the size you are willing to carry is two different questions.

I mean...

Skidoosh never said anything about extrication* in the original post. Or about demolitions. Just prying, and nothing too heavy.

I really like my Fubar, and I refuse to admit that I'm compensating for anything!

But I don't think they're looking for anything more than an EOD Robotics bar.

*Edit: yes, they did, and I should lurn two reed bettur.

A bar in the 6-8" range will still get you through a wooden residential door, just with more work than the two or three enthusiastic bashes that a demolition tool would need.

What? I get enthusiastic when I have the chance to break something for good reasons. Doesn't everybody?

Anyway. I think there's an honest, practical limit, here. 10" OAL seems like about the biggest that could be stowed in either a calf sheath or an under arm holster. The problem isn't so much about your personal size, it's being able to hike your pants leg up far enough to get the damn thing without hopping around on one leg trying to keep your balance!

Bring the wheelbarrow. You can use it as a ram. Leave the sweetie-pie at home, though.

See, I read it as (He is in the wheelbarrow). 😝😝😝😝😝😝

*Both look tough....ha

I got that part. That said, he can carry the gear in the barrow at the very least.

A young worker (at work) was talking about What's it means to be a Man" kind of thing...? Half Joking....

Like a Man can Catch, and clean a fish.
Drive a stick shift
Tie a tie
Throw a good punch......etc.etc.

I'm adding carrying a wheelbarrow or dirt or rocks without spilling to That list.
I've seen So many guys dump a load

I helped a guy lay block when I was in college. I was an absolute monster then in weight lifting. Got humbled by a late 60s block (cinder block) worker. This guy was maybe 150 pounds. I can’t remember exact age but know it was 60s. He could stack up 5 cinder blocks on either side of himself and feed his arms through the holes. Use his finger tips to pick them up and carry them. It was amazing to watch. It’s not a ton of weight but to see that older gentleman do that was just incredible. Never cut himself up either, just said that after working with block for 40 years his skin was as hard as the block.

Now back to regular scheduled programming of breaching things
