Break-in Tonight!

i heard of some one haveing a friend cross town place an add looking for a item and it showed up...
man i hope you get them back...
i never got my coin collection back as a kid...
dang&*^(*%*$ home breakers...

Really sorry to hear of the loss. Some time ago we were discussing displays of knives in our homes. This is one of the reasons I wouldn't recommend it but putting them away still doesn't help in situations like this. So sorry again.

you are right richard...
if they get in they will find them
a display may make it easer
but less damage to the house...
i still vote to display ... jest have a small lock to keep kids out

Sorry to hear the news RAZOR. My thoughts are with you as you and your local LE search for these thieves.

Well guys, still no luck with any of my knives turning up,I nav been checking regularly with the rcmp ,pawn shops, and one guy who posts ads wanting to buy knives, old hunting related items, things like that.

I guess whoever took them is not stupid enough to ty and dump them right hee in our area.I have all the boxes/sheaths/paperwork,as they were stored in another closet ,not with the knives.

I hope this never happens to anyone of you guys,it really does suck, but at least i will have a little fun ordering more customs.

RB,

Sorry to hear about your loss! :( I am curious if you were insured for the loss or not, and if so, how the insurance company arrived at a value to comp you for the loss. I hate to admit it but right now all I have is what my homeowner's policy would provide with reciepts to show what I paid for them. I have a sick feeling that I might come out on the short end regardless. :( :( Hope they catch the bastard(s)!:grumpy:

Hey, now that is looking on the bright side of the situation with a positive outlook.. :)

I still hope you find your stolen knives and the criminals who stole them though!.

Best of luck,
Anthony

I have additional insurance to cover personal items of value,I won't get money for each knife, rather a set amount from the insurance. It justs kills me knowing someone has those custom 110's,I think about it a lot.

Please keep in mind that not all insurance companies insure collectibles with their homeowners policies and some that do require a rider. If you don't know for sure the knives are covered, please check.

I'll bring this idea up again as it might help someone in future. I plan to fix up some tiny stickers, micro dots, and place them in the blade well of my knives. (I have only folders) At least the law men and the honest pawn men could be on the lookout if they got took. No one checks the blade well. Sorry about the loss. Post a list or pictures so everyone can watch for "new" sales.....

I think 300’s suggestion is a good one. We, on this forum, are the most likely people to be offered your Bucks. We are after all a group of Buck collectors. I, for one, would love to help bring your ratbag thief to justice. That would be nice. We might be able to do this if you post a list of stuff stolen. If any of it showed up in front of me I would be pleased to call the RCMP. You never know.

if your local thieves sold your stuff to your local pawn shop ,,you wont see it there,,,they are better organized then that ,,your stuff will be shipped likely to ontario or quebec,,and sold in pawn shops there,,and for stuff stolen in ontario and quebec that stuff will show up in the east coast
you can just plain forget about the rcmp doing anything ,,same as opp/qpp
a low life "friend" told me how stuff works a long time ago . same deal goes with stolen car rings .. ship it all out of province almost impossible to track that way .

Hey RB,
I just got back in town and read about the break in. I am so sorry! I know the feeling, almost makes you sick to the stomach! I hope you recover the knives, especially the irreplacable ones.

Thanks Joe,I guess it was a good thing i sent in those 2 110's,They never got those ,they are awesome Joe,sure do apprechiate the awesome work you did for me,the finger grooved hunter with the bg-42 is just wicked man!thanks

Sorry to hear about the break in. I've had the pleasure of walking in on 2 neighbourhood teens in my house. Caught one, the other got out the back door, but the cops got him later that day. Funny thing was that when the cops showed up they knew the little b@stard by name! Just goes to show great job our "justice" system does. How many times has this cop arrested this kid? . Anyway hope you get you knives back!!
