Let this thread be a tribute to the greatest food on earth... breakfast foods! Good any time of the day.

I made up a bowl of cheesy grits this morning with three eggs over medium on top. Cheap. Quick and easy. Most importantly, delicious!

Post em if ya got em!

I'll resurrect some old photos:

Eggs Benedict (normal bacon rather than Canadian bacon)

What to do with the extra Hollandaise? Put it on a biscuit with an egg and bacon, of course.

Hashbrowns with chorizo and onions, topped with shredded cheddar, a couple eggs and a Sriracha smile. :)

I would take pictures of my breakfast - if it didn't take time away from cooking and eating it, and who wants to look at pictures of the aftermath?

Camp breakfast!
Steak on a stick, CinnaBon, and a cold beer. :D

I'm in with 200 lbs of sausage:
Deboned Boston butts, salt, black & red pepper, sage, curing salt.

'Tis a dark mystical place but for those few who step foot inside, their desires can be fulfilled . . .

People are very particular and immensely emotional about their likes and dislikes with breakfast food. What's everyones best and worst?

Mine-eggs cooked just enough to hold the yolk in, bacon or sausage extra crispy, and buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy... Mmmmm.
I absolutely hate pancakes. They are just a filler places sell overpriced to carry syrup. And Canadian bacon. This bastardized love child isn't bacon or ham. It's useless. If I want ham, gimme good ol Kentucky country ham. If I want bacon. I'll eat bacon. Those crazy canadians can keep that crap... Lol rant over.. Sorry.

I finished seasoning 2 pork bellies today. Then I sliced them up and put them in the freezer. They are now Bacon!

Wouldn't it have been easier to just call this the bacon appreciation thread? ;-)

No pics of breakfast food at the moment. I'll try to remedy that soon.

even though it was young (5 day cure time), the shoulder bacon I made for the gathering met with approval - I will need to make another batch for the May gathering in Missouri.

I second that motion. Would love to try it.

French Toast done up like strawberry shortcake is one of my favorite foods in the whole world. I am also just as much a lover of salty smoked meat as the next guy but I was about to blow a gasket a few years ago so changes have been made. That said, I am a bit of a health nut now and usually eat a fairly healthy breakfast. I have been raising chickens for years and usually have more fresh eggs than I know what to do with. Well, quiche is my solution to that one. I big ass quiche once a week keeps the egg drawer from overflowing and I give a bunch of eggs away. At least that was the case last summer. Damn fox left me with three chickens this fall. :( He came back and I chucked all ten rounds at him from the old 10/22 but I have no idea if I clipped him or not. He was bounding through the ferns and hard to see. Anyway, he hasn't been back for a while and I keep a trap set if he does. I had a fisher try to get in this winter too. I got fifteen new chicks on the way soon though.

So here is how I usually get down in the morning.

or this... The bell pepper, cucumber and tomato are from my garden. I LOVE cottage cheese with breakfast.

Then there are those days when you are gonna run 13 miles. I eat this for either breakfast or dinner. I eat this all the time.

A snack?
The beets and the eggs are both homegrown...

Fantastic pics BFK, thanks for sharing. Your breakfasts are a whole lot more interesting and healthier than mine which are usually done in a scant few minutes of scouring the fridge or pantry for something to throw down on the drive to work. How far are you from North Texas and are you willing to commute and cater daily? :D
