Thanks! I couldn't be much further from North Texas unless I left the country. I live in sunny New England.
Cottage cheese is a super food and is the cornerstone of my healthy breakfasts. It is not like other cheeses which get most of their calories from fat. Cottage cheese is almost pure protein. It is like eating a boneless skinless chicken breast or a can of tuna right out of the can. Just pure lean protein. It is popular with bodybuilders and other athletes. It has a bit of sodium so you gotta watch that but it doesn't seem to bother me. I started eating this way all the time due to my blood pressure being around 160/105 at 35 years old. I was gonna have a heart attack by 40 at that rate. Mostly from sustaining myself through my twenties on beer, coffee, Red Bull, cigarettes and chicken wings. I personally eat a couple of dozen eggs a week and two 24 oz buckets of cottage cheese. My last reading was 100/72. I still chef up some french toast and bacon or some hash and eggs on the weekend with the family but most of the week I eat a healthy breakfast. It'll make you feel better and live longer. How long does it take to scramble a few eggs, scoop out some cottage cheese and grab a piece of fruit? It is an easy meal to make too!
Baked avocado and eggs with an apple and toast with avocado. You gotta scoop a little avocado out to fit the eggs in but you can just eat it or spread it on toast. Frozen blueberries and fresh tomato are my two favorite things to mix with cottage cheese. The red stuff on the eggs is cayenne powder.
