  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Breaking in a Manix

I don't think the point was to compete with axis lock. The BBL is much stronger imo. I have my issues with Benchmade, and while it's a good lock I find the omega springs.

In a world of frame and liner locks, something different is a nice thing.

It's also nice to have ambidextrous locks and clips. Not many companies offer this. Yeah, yeah, it's a right handed world. However, for someone truly ambidextrous or semi (like myself) it's nice to have.

I have a Manix 2 in CTS-XHP and it feels like it was designed for my hands. The BBL took time to break in, but with use it's great. I removed the g10 scales and had ironwood ones made. It's my favorite knife.

I know Ti flippers are all the rage, but I think the BBL and compression lock are far above frame and liner locks.

TL;DR: Give it time and keep it lubed.
