Breaking News!!!! New Knives From Camillus!

I'm trying to focus my meager Knife Budget on Custom knives and you folks come out with a line like this?

The OVB/Fisk is just too temptingI ordered one right off the bat. I have two EDC's, but I sure would like something in Talonite...Hmmmm...Talonite EDC or Mini Talon?

And now the Madd Maxx! Geeeeeeez Louise! I'm not a big folder fan, but how could you not like the Madd Maxx? That knife is just tooo darn cool.

Then that whole BK&T line...Camillus looks like it has the most exciting lineup of knives for 2002.

Now, will you please stop so I can focus on custom knives again. :D

Oh BTW, Stabby over at Phoenixblades is Da Man.

Boy am I impressed with Camillus as a company. Their offerings are about as nice as I have seen from any manufacturer. The Fisk Bowie and Ralph Maxx are prime examples. I also love that WW-81 hunter. Thanks for showing these great new knives Joel, it is much appreciated!

Will is a god, have to be humble and use a lower case "g" for "god." :D

Would you look at that 5X5MM? Good grief. That's awesome.

Thanks everybody for the kind words! We had a great SHOTSHOW this year, and saw quite a few forumites. I don;t know how many folks walked up to the booth and already knew about the CUDA MAXX 5.5 because we had made the introduction here FIRST, on Bladeforums.

The FISK/OVB Bowie was well recieved......we took orders for ALL 500 of them from our dealers and distributors. That's right, SOLD OUT. This means that they are lined up to go to your favorite dealer, for the knifeknutts of the world to purchase! Again, we should be shipping them before the end of the month.

Thanks everybody! And look for kewl stuff coming your way!

The cuda maxx looks superior to my D2 sifu. The cuda maxx is a must buy for me. It looks incredible. Will Camillus ever come out with the Mad Maxx spearpoint? You can take a look at the custom at:

http://www.darrelralph.com/1mainframe.htm

There is a custom Madd Maxx Bullnose version too.

I am glad to see such quality in an offering on this forum. Is there anyway to see the specs on the metal used?

I'm with you on both statements! :)

I've already ordered my Maxx, but I would buy another in a second if the spearpoint became available. :)

Let me say a big "Thank You" to everyone at Camillus!

Let me put this short so I can go off now and look for a place to buy the MAXX. Yur all bastids! Especially Pirela and Finnell because now I have to buy one. Hmm, oh well, I WAS just going to go to bed but now I must have a MAXX.

here.
don will set you up right.

now im sure some of yuo have noticed that i plug don quite a bit.
no,i dont get free knives, money,or discounts by doing this. but don is a good guy that wont try to screw you over. im not saying any other dealers will,i just like phoenixblades.com

Will... i assume you guys chose the bowie blade over the dagger so that it would be sheeple friendly, right? hahahahahah :D I love it it's great, and if all these people would stop making knives for a while i could catch up and buy one :) Again, my congratulations to some great contributions to the knife world. I've known camillus has been going up for a while, and they don't show any signs of stopping soon!

I got a couple choice words for you, Fennell.

How bout "Broke!"

or "Enough!"

or "Bastid!"

You and DDR I swear. To quote one of those guys in one of those Shakespeare plays....
"A plague o' both your houses!"

Off to collect more aluminum cans to sell, I remain

Shorter on cash and longer on wish list.... by the day. ;)

Mr Fennell and all-- I'm now in a blissful anticipation state which shall be satisfied when the brown truck of joy arrives with the Maxx 5.5. Goodness, how beautiful that thing is! It had to be ordered. Camillus rocks, the Fisk bowie is also totally gorgeous. :D

I talked to Will about the blade shape of the MM5X5 the other night in BFC chat. The original design of the MM was to be a folding coffin handled bowie. The coffin handle bowie is a great design, and Darrel and Will took it one step further by making it fold! We discussed the possibility of a spear point. Personally, I think the spear point looks more symmetrical and fits the folder better because of the blade length to handle length ratio. In fixed blade bowie, the blade is significantly longer. In the folder with the blade being shorter then the handle, I think the spear point looks better with the symmetry and flow. However, lots of people want this knife to use and use hard. The clip point bowie shape is a much better utility design then the spear point. Also, I believe Will said the due to the grinding processes, the spear point would add quite a bit more to the cost of the knife. I would love to see a spear point, but I am extremely happy with what we got right now. It's going to be sweet!

The cuda maxx is selling for $149. This is a deal because you get a lot of knife for the money. I hope that the camillus cuda maxx line will expand like the EDC line. The EDC comes in black blade, talonite, cm154 etc. I hope this happens with the maxx. If sales are good with the maxx, maybe camillus will come out with a spear point model. It seems that a lot of people on this board wants a spearpoint. Does anyone have Darrel Ralph's email? I would love to compliment him on his latest collaboration and encourage him to come out with a cuda spear point
