I've been selling a bunch of my fixed blades to pick up a few nice ones and here are 2 of them. Picked up the Pathfinder here on the forum and sent it to Bryan to have the handle shortened from 5.25 inches to 4.75 and add a lanyard hole. Bryan's work and customer service is ALWAYS top notch. Overall knife length is now 9.75 inches with a 5/32 spine. Also, saw some of Marcus Claxton's custom work and had him modify the ESEE4 and build new sheaths for both knives. WOW they are nice......and they are both begging me to take them to the next old mans (short) backpacking trip in October. Short as in hiking distance (1.5 miles.) I'll post some action pics then.

Bryan's Pathfinder will always be among my favorite blades. That one is really nice.

The Pathfinder was one of my first custom knives and still a favorite pattern. Nice work on those scales.

Both of those look great. It's always nice to clear out some lesser used blades and zero in on ones that you really like and use.

Really true. I've got some collectors and safe queens but what I really enjoy are my users that I can grab and go with and not even think about abusing them. Both of these fit that category. I'll be thinning out some more, both fixed and folders. Got a couple of thin bladed (3/32) custom fixed blades on order now. The Pathfinder is the last thicker spined knife (5/32) I'll buy.............for now..........maybe..........I think. :D

I'm really becoming fond of thinner blades myself. I have a couple of large 3/16 blades but the rest are 3/32, 1/8 and 1/16.
Hmmmmm, what could I do with a 1/8 thick 7 inch Pathfinder...?

Speaking of thin bladed knives.............waxed the handles and put some mineral oil on the blades. Also had a couple of nice pouch style sheaths made for them. Can't wait to try them out..

Very nice looking sheaths. Marcus does some great work.

A 7" by 1/8" thick Pathfinder would be a cool slicer lol.
