Breeden Pathfinder Review

Hey Bear, You're taking a "Kat" knife right? ;)

I know I am but I want to make sure you get yours first.

Bear', I love the shot of the PF lying under water. I had a tussle with the bushes I was clearing out and one of them "disarmed" me momentarily. It was quick and easy to spot in the underbrush though and I recovered my knife and went on to win that fight! It souonds better than what it must have looked like.:o

Hi Jeff I would have like to have seen that tussle as you call it:D
I bet that bush was a little scared when you got you knife back in hand.

Yea Bear that photo of the knife in water is so cool looking.

Bear, I was really just joking about you taking a kat knife. You probably would want a bigger one than that wouldn't ya? That would be cool if you did take the kat though. Don't worry, bryan will get one done for ya if you want.. ;) kat

Hey Kathy. Actually the KAT seems like a good size for most knife tasks. There seems to be lots of great designs coming out of your household. I would like to see what your nephew comes up with. As far as the KAT Knife goes, how does it feel to be the designer of what may be the best selling Breeden knife yet? Maybe you can show Bryan a thing or two?

The KAT is a nice simple looking piece and the brown micarta fits its design well. My next trip to Peru may be sooner than I thought by 3 months. I told Bryan that the Kelly would go and if we can make this trip official it will be in July. But not to get too ahead, if it happens or if it doesn't, there is always october! Maybe the KAT could make it to one of those.:D

Hi Bear, I am sure Bryan can one done by july, pobably even in june. I am starting to help him more. I hope to do alot of the work on my knife, but not too much or it will look crappy.:thumbdn: Its neat that the kat is making a grand entrance. :o I never thought it would because i just basically got some ideas from knives i've seen and put them together. kat

It was a true "you-tube moment" if ever there was one!:o Lucky for me you're only getting my side of the story because I made sure the bush anin't talkin'!

Yep dead bushes tell no tells :D LOL

So a Kat knife might be able to go to the Jungle:eek:. Well I was thinking
a Orange handle one of course like this one below the Pathfinder

One like that might work.:p:D What do you think Bear?

I will make sure you get hooked up with a kat knife, Jeff. :-)

I've been seeing more of these knives reviewed lately and they seem to uniformly impress. Rescue orange would have probably saved me at least three blades in the last 20 years. Very nice pics BTW.

Orange KAT in the jungle? Kelly might be jelaous!

How about Emergency Yellow G10 with red or black liners? Should be able to find that if you dropped it. I saw some crazy-looking Chartreus Fibermascus some time ago but that looks too much like tender, new vegatation.

You're watching out for me, aren't you?

I'll get my Kat knife and I will appreciate it for it's inherent functionality as a knife as well as for your first design - which appears to be a success already. I'm getting caught up and will be in touch on it soon.

I think I would like to use yours to prototype the sheath if you wouldn't mind. If you let me use it, you can keep the sheath when I am done. Deal?

Hi Jeff, I left the word "hooked" out of my comment but you figured it out. That sounds like deal about the sheath....Thanks very much. Kathy

My Pathfinder came today,I could not be happier with the fit, finish and design of the blade and the sheath.Simple, clean , stout, and Bryan is a joy to deal with.Hope to get out this weekend and put it through its paces. Doug
