Brend pre production m2 auto

Hi, I am very confused about Walter Brend M2 auto pre production #1-50. I had purchased a set of these knives thinking they are the only 1-50 pre production dated february 2012 and January 2012. The same knife is all over the internet 1-50 I cant find any other numbers in this edition did Walter just release 50 of the same number 1-50? If anyone can help me figure this out it would be much appreciated. Thanks,

Sounds like the marking means "this knife is one of 50 made", not "this knife is the first one made"

I have two exactly the same sets of these knives same date same number 1-50 why are they all numbered the same?

Reswob seems to have already answered your question. I would think that basic logic might push someone who has two that are numbered the same to that conclusion themselves, but I'm no expert on human behavior.
