First, the business stuff.

PLEASE NO TRADES at this time.

Pricing--The price(s) includes fees (if you pay with Money Order I will drop the price a bit) and USPS shipping in the US. Note, it will not necessarily be Priority shipping as these things must go in big packages and that really jacks up the shipping price. IF YOU FEEL A/THE PRICE IS WAY OFF BASE, MAKE ME AN OFFER.

Shipping--I will ship (included in the asking price) the purchase through USPS mail, but if you choose to pay with paypal, I WILL ONLY SHIP TO THE CONFIRMED PAYPAL ADDRESS FROM WHICH I RECEIVE THE FUNDS. Note, it will not necessarily be Priority shipping as these things must go in big packages and that really jacks up the shipping price. I apologize, but I do not wish to deal with international sales at this point.

Please read the description clearly. I have done my best to describe the blade(s) and photograph it/them (my camera is not that great), but if you would like additional photos please just say. All BLADES HAVE BEEN WIPED DOWN WITH EITHER MARINE TUF-CLOTH OR SILICONE WD40 SO MANY WILL HAVE SMUDGES AND SMEARS. If you're worried about scratches, please ask for more photos.

If you have any questions about dealing with me, please look at my feedback score, and please do not hesitate to ask questions or request more info.

If you are interested in a/the piece, please PM or email me (cda325@gmail.com). I will get back to you quickly with my paypal address. Having said that, I reserve the right to do business with whoever I please for whatever reasons I please.

Upon receipt of the item, I would appreciate if you could please let me know if you are happy with the purchase through email and feedback here on the forum.

Lastly, by agreeing to purchase, you are indicating you are at least 18 years of age and in compliance with all your local, state, and federal laws.

If you don't know who Brent Bailey is I suggest you google his website. He's an incredible blacksmith, and his talent is off the hook. It would seem he is one of the blacksmiths other blacksmiths look up to.

I soak all my axe heads in boiled linseed oil overnight and treat all the hafts with BLO as well. These two are no exceptions.

Cruiser Axe: Another one I asked Brent to make. It is also 5160 with one edge thicker for dirty work/splitting and the other leaner for bucking/felling. I used it a few times, but again, it is shaving sharp. The yellow on the head is from when I soaked it in a bucket of linseed oil as noted above. I had it rehafted by Ian Thompson who used to be an axe restorer that posted a lot on here before changing directions. The grain is good, but I don't like the swell under the head. He also made the blade covers. They work, but are tight (even after treating them with SnoSeal). Asking $110...SPF

Viking Axe: I asked Brent to make this based on an axe I saw somewhere. Steel is 5160. Poll is hardened. Blade has a nice profile, not too thick. I have used it, but just a time or two. It is resharpened, and will shave easily. The haft has nice grain orientation and is really nice and thin with a big fawn's foot. I forgot to take a photo, but if you're interested send me an email and I'll snap a photo with my phone. I will include the firehose sheath you see in the pics, but it fits very loosely. Asking $160...SOLD
