Nothing else really feels or sounds like it, uses a detent ramp on the lockbar insert instead of a detent ball
Fast snappy action, lockup is as solid as it gets, and centering is dead on
2. Tom Mayo/Shirogorov Russian Dr. Death - near mint - $2050
Vanex 37 blade
Perfectly machined and contoured frame with Mayo's signature holes
Front side is carbon fiber
Perfect fit and finish
Blade-to-handle ratio is nearly 1-to-1, tip of the blade goes past the handle slabs and into a cutout in the backspacer
Smooth action, solid lockup, and perfect centering
3. Mike Snody Hybrid Rattail - very good condition - $1150
Well built with top notch fit and finish
3.5" hand satin blade
Front scale is made from a contoured and polished slab of Robert Eggerling Mosaic Damascus
The back scale and backspacer tail is polished and contoured carbon fiber
Liners have been anodized and jeweled on the inside
That tail is surprisingly useful, adds to the ergonomics and lets you choke down on the handle a bit more
This one has been carried and used; there's some marks on the blade, front scale, and clip
Edge is in good shape and Mike can probably re-finish the knife if you contact him
Action is smoother than a Sebenza
Lockup is about as solid as a folder can get
