I haven't done business with Brian, but he learned I was interested in a knife and made me a private offer--despite the fact that he wasn't really looking to sell!--proffering said knife.
We talked via email a few times and I was really about to pull the trigger when he graciously provided me with some more information which caused me to rethink my purchase. He did so in order that I would have all the information I needed to make my decision, and then he told me not to be concerned if I rethought my decision, that he was just as happy keeping the knife because it is such a great tool. A real gent.
I decided NOT to buy from Brian because it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, (and have indeed NOT purchased the knife at all yet) but I need to say to you fellow forumites that he demonstrated a willingness to inform and share, as well as an honesty and integrity that seems to be declining daily in our society. If any of you EVER consider doing business with Brian, do not hesitate. I'm sure you will find him to be cordial, respectful, honest, and friendly.
A big  to Brian or making this place such a pleasant and informative place to be.
