What a mess a simple thing can become. I ordered some camping/survival gear (about 50bux) from Brigade Quatermasters and it was shipped UPS and was left on my door step with no problems except there was a backordered item the extra tinder pack I ordered for my sparklite (1.99). So I get an email from Brigade 2 days later saying it was on it's way by Fed Ex (???). So I wasnt at home the day that they came by so they left a door tab that said they would try again friday and I needed to sign the tab. Fri I signed the tab and left it and when I got home no package. I call Fed Ex and give them the door tag number, nothing comes up on the computer so I give them my address, it's been put on hold and I have to go get it. I drive over to the Fed Ex place and it takes them awhile to find the stupid thing. I spent more money in gas than I did for the tinder. The whole time I was trying to figure out why either Brigade didnt drop it in a little envelope and send it thru regular mail or due to the fact that it was only a 2 dollar item forget it and why Fed Ex didnt just drop it on my door like UPS cause it was just a small little package that wasnt worth what shipping probably cost.

"Quest for Fire" is one of my all-time favorite movies, so I had to see what this was about ... :)

... it was just a small little package that wasnt worth what shipping probably cost.

Ahhh, but to a great bureaucracy's computer, it is an ITEM NUMBER and all item numbers are created equal. This is what happens when humans follow the rules instead of thinking.
