Brigham's HG 55

Thats is one awesome story but I am having issuses with the black micarta slabs.

Those have got to be the brownest black micarta slabs I have ever seen.:p:D

You should have save some time and just named him Busse Brown...what a lucky scout!!

I see 'em now, Dave. :D :D :D

Great pics, and a great story. I hope my soon-come daughter someday takes an interest in my hobbies. Good for you and he.

Great story! I bet that he will keep that one forever! Patience is a hard lesson to learn. I never really took to fishing as a kid because of it, until dad told me to reel my line in we were going home and there was a bluegill bigger than mom's frying pan on the end of it.

I hope he enjoys his knife, as I am sure that he is proud of it.

I am a proud Papa :D

Wow! Your son is a rare gem in this day and age! Most kids I know would not have been that patient! He did a real nice job on that sheath, too!

That's just too cool, brother!

How about you do this? Make a copy of this thread, print it out and tuck it away somewhere.

After your gone (and you & I swapping stories elsewhere ;)), he's going to pass this blade along to his kid. Along with some yellowed pieces of paper...

Be proud, Dave. Be very proud.

Damn,,,,,,,,, a 16 yr. old with his own personalized $300. Busse blade,,,,,,,, lucky young man. When I was that age , I remember exactly what I had for a knife. A stag handle , 3 blade Old Timer. Meant a lot to me, I paid for it, and actually thought is was enormous,,,,,lol. Served me well,,,as I remember. I woulda thought I was gawd reincarnate If I had a custom HG-55 @ that age.He obviously earned and deserved that blade,,,,,and you should be damn proud of him !!!!!!  gr8 work of his on his sheath too.
