But about the 18650 body, ain't it exactly like the stock body? I mean, wouldn't it fit two CR123? I thought I could use a 18650 directly in the PD30.
The stock 123² body can accommodate 17670 batteries, but you need a different body tube for 18650s. Since you have the 123² head, which has a voltage range from 3.0V to 9.0V, it might not be possible to use AA batteries unless you pick up the 0.9V to 4.2V head.
