I've done several of these now, and they seem to be a hit with everyone that sees them. A couple folks have said they would like one just a bit smaller. This is similar to the original pattern, but scaled down about 10%.

This Amber dyed Buckeye Burl from K&G is one of my personal favorites. Some of the pieces look similar to the Brindle coloration seen on certain animals, with black, browns, oranges , etc. That is why I called the first one "Brindle Hunter", and I like the name, so it stuck. This piece was pretty wild... the side in the second photo reminds me of starry night by van gogh.

The Hollow grind, swedge, and gunstock handle combined make for reduced weight and excellent balance. Nearly 5" blade and full size handle, yet weighs in at only 6.4oz. This reduced size pattern would be an absulute dream to carry and use in the outdoors, or anywhere for that matter. This is a lot of knife for how well it will disappear on your hip.

CTS-XHP @ 60RC, .158" thick. Hollow + Hollow swedge
4.75" slightly convex edge, hand stropped to shaving
Variable grind geometry for increased cutting performance and tip strength
K&G Amber Dyed & Stabilized Buckeye Burl
10.35" OAL, 6.4oz.
Sterling Silver pin and 416ss guard

$225 shipped
Includes custom sheath made in buyer's preference of style and color. Unfortunately I need to ask for paypal payment on this one, normally I do accept check/mo.

Ian, you continue to impress! Each blade you have offered here has that fine craftsmanship and personality. Would love to see what is comming next. Martin

Well, I guess I have to use the nuclear option since this isn't moving. I posted new sunlit photos, now you can actually see the handle. That might help a bit. :)

Bill, now you can really see it. ;)

Wow, you certainly can. The light brought out all the dark and lighter shades...
