Bring back Lt632ret

This forum is available for anyone who wants to come in and have a good time, share stories, and learn. What I can't take is some newbie (to any forum) coming in and picking an argument with a regular poster.

All are welcome here, but as with any forum, observe and see what's going on first. I don't have a million posts under my belt, but I also certainly didn't come in after only 10 posts and less than a month on this site and smack someone down. That's just plain rude man.

I think that we are accomodating to most everyone that comes here to share, ask a question, etc. (Well, maybe not lovers of TBLLC ;) )

I would not come into your home or place of work and insult you after just meeting you...

now with the name calling?? some newbie?? this is not your home just an internet sight. see you later not for me.
I will not post again have at it ladies

Newbie is an appropriate term for someone that has just joined the site recently. I was a newbie once, just like everyone else.

We observe, we learn "Acceptable" behaviour, and then we "fit in".

I'm sorry that this didn't work out for you, as we appear to have at least one thing in common, we love the Schrade brand.

Perhaps when you can agree to disagree with someone, you might see things differently.

regards....

Glenn

I agree with Glenn. All are welcome. This is a knife forum, and out of the 4 I go to it is the best,we learn a lot and joke a lot and self moderate ourselves. When someone gets out of line they soon learn why this forum works. If you like to learn then stay.If you want to pick fights go over to the mall ninja sites.Btw I have 350 something posts and I'm still a newbie.Arnold

Thanks Arnold.

I do have to apologize to everyone however, maybe my tea was too strong this morning. I don't usually flip out like that, and I may have been a little aggressive in my comments.

That's how I feel, I guess. I can live with that. I'm buying the next round, who needs one?

Glenn

O.K, I started this phase of discussion, and heard from many of you. The fact is Lt isn't coming back at the moment.
It may have been a little uncomfortable, but it cleared some air for some of us I believe. It also muddied it for some.
Certainly we are all in agreement that we disagree on the meaning of 'agree to disagree'!! I guess the concept is tough for some to understand.
Anyway, I like the friends I've made here too much to stir up more ocka bocka, and will agree with the consensus that it's time to move on.
Two fingers of malt to all of you, and to Schrade knives!
Glenn, you owe no apologies; you are eminently reasonable! Next round's on me,
Charlie

First off, I don't agree with you :D

Second, what the heck is "ocka bocka"? (I hope I don't step in it)

I once attended a seminar and one of the sessions was entitled "The difference between winners and everybody else, is that 'When the situation is over, it's over'".

Please everyone, let's be winners.

It's not your run of the mill "step-in-able", it is produced by a camel :p !

"Over? Nothing is over! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!?!?" :D

First off, I don't agree with you :D

I couldn't agree with you more!... or is it disagree?... ohtaheckwithit... I'm completely lost.

Glenn, since you're buying, I'll have a cold Molson and a quiet place to drink it. thank you ;) .

I'll even raise a glass to LT and Phil!

He has given his word and will not go back on it. His post since he left have been in response to requests or, in the case of the picture he posted about the knives I made for him, he was fulfilling a promise he made to me before he left.

Understand very well, indeed. I would not ask a man to soil his word. :)
