Bring It Back in 2026

Too early to be discussing a 2026 forum knife?

My vote goes for something non-GEC, maybe A. Wright?
The latest wright knives have a somewhat sorted history the past little while, had one for a day that I needed my 30 years ago hands to open lol.but I'm not sure I have heard of anyone stepping up to take the task on,but I'm not done with my gec wants so a nice abilene.

I'm probably the wrong person to ask because others know alot more about their business today,my opinion was based on a wrght barlow that had a pull of 9 and other flaws, but I'm sure for a sizable order that would be discussed openly on traditional kife threads they may try for Good quality control, but you can Google L Wright ownership and quality control.

Gotcha! I was thinking some controversy lol. I have one a wright but it definitely has a very strong pull, probably a 9. I've never actually broken a nail on it but probably could lol

Maybe one of the big site sponsors could step up and give it a go in 2026\2027?
Only if Sir Spark gives his approval.
Are any of the large supporting dealers involved with traditional knives?
I don't know what happened in '24.
In all the prior years, the annual knife was pre-sold and paid for before the order was placed. No financial risk ... no funds/assets tied up in unsold invintory.
Why that logical policy was discarded in 2024 is a mystery to me.
Though I could understand it if they were consignment, like certain grocery items such as canned goods, magazines*, major electronics, some sporting goods like bicycles, and new vehicles at auto, motorcycle, RV, and marine dealerships typically are. The item is sold, paid for by the store, and may or may not be reordered, depending on how long it was "on the shelf".
(*the magazine distributors came to our conveniance store monthly.
They replaced the magazines as required. We paid for the ones that were sold or stolen.
They removed the covers from those that did not sell, and asked if we wanted the magazines (cannot be sold without the covers)
They took the covers and magazines we did not want.
I did keep one unsold gun mag that had an artical about converting a lever action rifle to a take-down.
(I never did convert my Marlin 1895SS in .45-70 (also wanted to give it a full length magazine tube), 336, or Winchester 94 to take-down. Wasn't able to cut a big enough piece off the iornwood root stump I had to make custom butt plates, or grips for my 1911, either. ☹️ 😭)
