Indeed. I think the main case is that the number of traditional knife enthusiasts was overestimated a little bit for this run. With handle appearance and cost being secondary factors. Just a guess though.Looking at GEC production totals, the BF knife (588 produced) had more than double any of the other private label SFO from 2024. Most of the knives are in the 100-200 range.
I seem to remember that these were the last knives that Canal Street Cutlery made before they closed their doors. Not 100% sure about that but it’s stuck in my mind for some reason.Nostalgic Post!! No turning back now!

The combination of a Stockman on a very large frame will probably never sit well with most people. I.E the first mistake was the decision to not include the BF (mostly porch) members. We're old enogh to handle a democratic bloodbath.Indeed. I think the main case is that the number of traditional knife enthusiasts was overestimated a little bit for this run. Good knife, with less than stellar scales. But I've seen a lot of cool dye jobs people here have done.
BINGO!!!!!I was much happier with mine after a dye job, but the knife had two other flaws that I think really tanked it. The pattern was too big for a lot of folks, and the price was too high.
I would agree with both. I fall into the "don't mind a big ol' knife" category, but it was definitely pricey. I did end up selling a few to grab mine to try out.I was much happier with mine after a dye job, but the knife had two other flaws that I think really tanked it. I declined to buy one, in support of my overseas brethren. The ones that have been dyed do look better in my view, but do you really want to buy a knife that needs cosmetic surgery from the off ? Yes, too big, too expensive, the jigging is poor, shield does not suit the proportions , members not allowed any consultation/input except take or leave, end. Many left it and overseas members were all barred from ordering anyway. Recipe for?
I like your unofficial 2025 knife, Rachel!!I declined to buy one, in support of my overseas brethren.
Also the price & all.

Thanks! I could turn that '5' into a '6' pretty easily, but I think I should choose another knife for this year. Maybe the #8 Garden knife.I like your unofficial 2025 knife, Rachel!!![]()
Spot On Will....I just didnt want to mention ..the "t" word. The support is appreciated and many have shared their dismay at the way we were dismissed.
meako I understand that Jon, but there were none of these absurd tariff fiascos going on at the time and overseas shipping had been taken care of before without any problems as far as I can see. In fact there was formerly a pride that the Forum Knife was getting to many places on the globe.
