I would absolutely love a double cut / black AK. Unfortunately, it's not available. Even if it was, it's not at the top of the list. :(

Make it .220" thick (like the SFNO) and put a DC finish on it, and it would be perfect!!!! :thumbup:

Wasn't there a special 'Ganzaaa AK that was Double Cut? Or was it satin? :confused:
 
It was supposed to be double cut, but became satin after an extremely long wait. The pics of it make me tingle. :eek:

I would encourage that you call and talk to Garth before you do that. I've heard it mentioned that because of it's length, it would easy to make the blade "untrue". See if he's got any tips for you.

Oh, I am not going to put it in a vise, slap a long pipe on it and bend away..

I am going to start off by just chopping it into logs, stumps and the like.. ;)
 
Oh, I thought you were talking about sanding the blade to a satin finish. I seem to remember hearing someone say that creating a warm spot on one part of one side of the blade can effect it's straightness. I'm not sure if that's right or not, but that's why I encouraged that the uber AK master be contacted.

If it's just use you're talking about then we'll need plenty of pics.
