If I was in your position, I would hunt around for a Scrapyard Regulator on the secondary market. I've found a few in the past for about $150 and some of them even came with a decent semi-custom sheath. The Regulator is an indestructible tank of a knife at that price point. Barring that, snag one of their current-production 711s if you dig them. They're very good medium-large knives at a pretty reasonable price.
