Very cool piece, Stuart! I like the step away from the Japanese tradition...keeps us guessing!

Nice work there. And considering some katanas were re-finished as sabers, the habaki is not so out of line :D

That's definitely something I'd like to tackle down the road.. One of those Meiji era sabres in Kyu-gunto mounts with the Japanese style blade.
