Britain curbing knives?

In the US, drinking age is determined by state governments. However, there is a lump of cash states receive every year called "the interstate highway fund" or something like that, from the Federal govt. The Feds stipulate that any state having a drinking age under 21 will not receive the funds. Some states, like Louisiana, choose to have a lower drinking age for whatever reason, I guess they make more money selling booze to kids than the fund would provide.
The vast majority of states have a 21 and over minimum.
Personally, I think there needs to be a national standard age of adulthood that is applied across the board and never crossed for any reason.
Buying booze, guns, entering the armed services, voting and being prosecuted as an adult.
I'd hate to guess exactly what age that ought to be, but 20 sounds good to me.
I figure if a guy aint old enough to buy a pistol, then he has no business carrying a TOW missile. If you arent old enough to smoke, then you aint old enough to vote on laws that may concern the use of tobacco. If you are too young to have a drink for your last meal, then how can you be old enough to be put on death row?

I say 20. Old enough to finish high school and work or go to college for a few years, lose your virginity, find out how the real world works.

Certain alcohol drinks can be served too a 14 yr old with a meal in the Uk.
Our crime rate in the UK is nothing America to IMO not exactly South Africa level for example and im saying that and i live in the biggest shit hole in the UK.
