Just wondering if anyone has, or has used the Petromax BriteLyte?
I bought one of the old Coleman "green" lanterns when I was 14. I used to use it for ice fishing, normal fishing, camping, and used it all the time. I was so proud of that thing.
I realize now that I did a lot of stuff wrong with it, like stored it with fuel in it, and stored it pressurized.
A couple years ago, it developed a leak between the main body and the tank. I do not think it is fixable with the parts that are readily available, but I really haven't tore into it either.
I caught the Coleman Northstar Propane version on a super clearance and bought that a couple years ago. I am not overly impressed, and propane doesn't do so well when it starts getting really cold.
So, I have been interested in the BriteLyte, but WOW! are they pricey. Just wondering if they are worth it, and if anyone has any experience with them?
Thanks in advance,
B
