British Basha

I have been thinking about buying one but can't find a US supplier. The ones in the UK are kinda pricey and shipping is not great either. Thanks, Chris
 
I ran into the same problem, then a friend in Germany ended my need for a quality mil tarp, by sending me the German version.

The way the basha is priced including shipping, you could probably find a nice silnylon tarp big enough for a shelter.

I don't know if you have any experience with one, but the USGI poncho is 64"X88" and is considered a shelter half. Large enough for emergency shelter and can usually be had for under $20.00, plus there is an extra cost liner that snaps in and helps to keep you warm.
 
Come down the Rocks in Sydney and you can bash plenty of Brits...no need to buy one ;) ...

I use a poncho now and it works great but it is just a bit small, I would like to have a camo tarp made out of the same material as the poncho but bigger. I have a sil tarp now but want woodland camo and more durable. My plan is to carry both and use the poncho as a ground cloth or to wear and the basha as the overhead cover. Chris

Watcha need, I have a bunch of stuff, looking for anything in particular. You still shoot aluminum arrows? Need a medium USGI ruck? Poncho? BDUs? Let me know if you are looking for something I would like to trade for sure. Chris
 
Hey Flix,

If it's in excellent shape, I have a BK-7 in almost brand new shape! You got some Kernmantle or good parachute cord to go with it?

I was going to offer it up for trade since I found out that some people like it better than the Ontario RAT-7 as I would like to have one of them soon.

You know, the world is big enough for everybody and to tell you the truth, I just E-mailed a Brit place about these about five or six hours ago and I was a bit anxious as in my experience, those places just don't answer back. I don't trust BQ because they are ordering on demand, those damned Bashas have been back ordered for TEN YEARS on that website.

You can take it dude, I withdraw.

Chris,

There is no snaking involved, just someone interested that jumped the gun and tried to correct the situation. If that's not good enough for you, I'm sorry about that. If you're going to stay pissed forever about it, that's not really my problem. I didn't get anything and don't want anything once I realized what I did. You're not the only one looking for certain things, you know what I mean?

Most people would not bat an eye at "snaking" something away from you. I guess a person is damned if they do and damned if they don't if they make the mistake in the first place.

So...what's the point in trying to correct anything or apologize if people are going to act that way?

Not much I guess, huh?

I don't want it and have not been contacted about it, for the record.

I'm not pissed and appreciate your honesty, no apology needed. I have found another supplier for what I am looking for and no longer need the basha, if flix is willing to trade feel free. Chris

WOW! I obviously misseed a couple of these posts! Sorry to be dangling bait then not responding.

Chris, I'm glad you found something suitable. Is it a basha or some other kind of tarp?
