British Belt Axe

Didn't ragnar used to make those? The allan hawks right? If thats what you mean they arn't available.
 
Ragnar may have made this axe at one time. I saw the axe on this page:

I've done some searching an it appears no one is making the British Belt Axe at this time.

I don't see anyone making that "style" but Wetterlings and such are in that ballpark. What are you looking for specifically in the British axes that you aren't finding in the custom stuff?
 
I saw the British Belt Axe on the Bill Hay website and liked the style overall and the size. There are others similar to it, but I just like this one.

It is unfortunate that Ragnar is no longer selling the Allen line. They were good axes. I liked the Ft Meggs myself. Wish I knew why he stopped selling them. As for belt axes, you may want to look at Fort Turner's, H&B forge's, and Jas Townsend & Sons to see if anything meets your fancy. Let us know what you end up with.
