British MOD 4 Survival Knife ?

I have two, couldn't ask for a better Camp knife!

We can pick the bare blades up for about £15 direct from the manufacturer over here.

The Carbon steel takes a nice edge and patinates up quite well.

If some knives are considered "sharpened prybars", the MOD should be called "sharpened steel brick"

Useful lookin' builds dude. ;-)

Yeah, I guess I will pass and lean towards the Golok #2. For anyone interested I saw a Wilkinson Sword MOD on ebay yesterday. I though about bidding on it but it's already more then I want to spend on a knife in the condition it's in.

As another poster pointed out recomending Beckers I have a Crewman now and have owned a couple of others. :)
Great knives for the money though I have heard the Kabars are a bit rough.

There's a thread on the MoD 4 here

They are for sale here for $48.22 plus p&p. Which doesn't seem that cheap to me, I think I paid about 20 quid for mine, some years ago.

They are cheap and something to have because you want one rather than because it's the best thing for the job.

These two quotes sum it up very nicely I think. I have one and I like it. However I have no illusions that's it's a great knife. Mine lives in the tool bag in my truck and is there in case I need a hammer, prybar, or as a last resort, knife.

Now you're talking! Seems to be a nice piece of steel; I just wouldn't pay for the level of fit and finish the factory-finished ones seem to have. Looks like a great] project knife though; yours turned out very very nice! Those are $100 knives  What's the handle material on the second one? Looks cool!
