Not sure which forum to put this in, but I know allot of guys in this part of the forum have this knife, and may be able to help me out. Mods feel free to move this if you need to.

First how did you guys break the sheath in. Its quite tight, which isn't so much a problem getting the knife out, but getting it back in, I have to squeeze the leather open to get the knife it.

My second question is, does the aurora sheath come with a fire steel loop? I thought it was supposed to, but my sheath doesn't have one. I am wondering if I got the wrong sheath and that's part of why my knife doesn't fit so well.

Mine fit fine and did come w/ the firesteel loop. You might want to call whoever you got it from and see if they can straighten it out for you.

You probably got an old sheath. Dealer probably had the knife in stock and you got an old one. Contact BRKT and ask them to swap ouit the sheath, they're pretty good about it.

The new Sharpshooter sheath has a firesteel loop and it was a little tight at first, but you want that. The pouch-type sheath conforms itself to the knife with time. I just stuffed mine in and let everything meld.

GD, sounds like you may have the wrong sheath.

I had an Aurora in my possession for the past few weeks as part of a Bark River Passaroud.

The sheath had a Firesteel loop and the knife fit well.

I would contact your dealer and try to get the correct sheath.

If you have no success there, contact Donna at Bark River, she may be able to get you hooked up.

Bark River takes good care of their customers.
