For a mid sized camp knife. Different grinds and different thickness. Which would you prefer? And if someone has a pic of the two side by side that would be awesome.

In my personal opinion I'd go Fiddleback all the way, their F&F is top-notch and their customer service is just as good, if not better. I think the Duke is a nicer-looking knife and certainly has a more useful blade shape, I've handled the BRKT and it felt heavy and thick and didn't cut all that well, plus the F&F was iffy on the one that I've felt up and I've seen many stories about their F&F and customer service so I might steer clear of them especially if Fiddleback is the other option.

thanks for the response. I was actually thinking the Bark River Aurora vs the FF production Duke. Ive never handled a FF of any kind. I agree the non LT bravos are a bit too chunky for my liking.

I unfortunately don't have a BRKT to compare it to but my Fiddleback Forge Duke has become my go to knife for the woods. The S35 performs amazingly and it is the perfect size for me. I do never hesitate for a second when recommending this knife because I know how much I have used mine!

Even after all the abuse I have put this knife through it still looks new and there is not even the slightest nick in the blade.

Just purchased a Bravo 1.5 with ramp and it is the best knife I own, and I have a knife or two. The blade thickness is perfectly in between 3/16 and 1/4", and the length is perfect. The width of the blade is also a little more narrow than that forge duke. Bravo 1.5 would be perfect for wood/batonning/campfire prep, gutting a fish, and processing game. It's not really a great chopper, but would probably do the trick. The balance of the knife is spot on. I don't have any experience with fiddleback, and I'm sure their knives are great, but BRKT all the way (still in the honeymoon phase with the knife).

Gee sgbolton, you would never know you're a Barkie fan. I hope you feel the same way a year from now.
