BRKT compounds question.

I am looking to pick up some compounds for a 2 sided strop that I have. I have heard a lot of good things about Bark River compound but I am unsure which two to get. I strop immediately after the 3k chosera I recently picked up (Thanks to Jason B. for the recommendation). The Bark River compounds black being 3k, green being 6k and white being 12k. Any suggestions? I just want that nice polished/razor edge on my knives. And yes I probably overthink these types of things. Thanks

I find you need the white to get a decent level of polish. And I use the black the least, since it is pretty coarse, it overlaps with my DMT stones or waterstones. I only use the black on full convex knives that I sharpen with sandpaper and strops alone.

In your case, with a 3k waterstone, I would probably go green/white with a two sided strop.

In my limited experience, I have found that I like the Stropman compounds (black and white) better than the BRKT (black and green). YMMV, but to me the difference in performance was noticeable.
