For now, all I can say is "WOW!"

I'm really impressed with this machete so far. I plan on doing a full-review later this week but I thought some teaser shots would certainly peak your interest. Very different feel than the 12" ontario and the 18" model. It is really unique and one heck of a performer thus far. Later this week, I'm going to use it on some harder woods but for now anything green is wilting away in fear of the Barktario!

1095 Barkie Machete ,I am interested in your review I almost purchased the Green Canvas micarta one.....

Kev Kev Kev...

This is like a woman who shows a little leg then doesn't put out. Frustrating! :D

I'll say this for now, a forward lanyard is your best friend with this beast. Also, learn not to choke up on the blade or wear gloves. The choil on this baby is sharpened and will make you bleed.

Try knivesshipfree.com, they are the source for the balance of the machetes.

My full review will come Saturday after taking some more pics.

That looks good but that thin exposed part of the tang looks like it may bite after a lot of use. (Maybe not though) But it looks so much better than the standard plastic handled ones that's for sure.

I got mine yesterday and took down a full grown lemon tree with no problem. No hot spots no bites from the handle. A sweet chopper!!!!

I have been looking at these as well. Knives ship for free also gives a run down on where they started and where they finished with this blade. Many on this forum have the skill to mod the Ontario machete like this but I ain't one of them.

Forward lanyards are your friend. :D Kev, is it full convex grind or a short edge grind like Ontario?
Scott

Full Height Convex Scott. BTW, the forward lanyard idea came to me after remembering how well your Big Boar Tusker worked with one.
