I know this is the wrong place to ask this but I thought I would pose the question to you because you have the most experience with BRKT. I ordered a Montana Guide for my dads 50th birthday and I want to possibly engrave something on the handle portion of the spine. My question is would it be large enough and could it feasibly cause any problems such as making it more likely to rust? This knife will be a user. Other thoughts have been to have something stamped into the sheath. I appreciate your thoughts and opinions.

Larry at DLT Trading does custom laser engraving on Bark River (and other) knives. I think he'd be the ideal person to work with.

Engraving a knife will no more rust a knife than is to be expected from normal everyday use. If you are worried about rust you can apply some Renaissance Wax to the blade.

Thanks guys! I am suprised no one tried to talk me out of it :) Thanks again for your help!
