Bark River Pro Scalpel – Nice knife, used minimally on a couple of occasions. Big leaf maple burl handles. Black leather sheath. I believe I have the box for this one. Purchased from knivesshipfree many years ago with the BRKT bushcraft logo. I had it piggy backed to my aurora, but I don’t use either anymore. SPF.

sorry for the bad photos.

This is 1st gen correct?

It doesn't say 1st production run, not sure about the generation, but it's not 3v steel. I'm trying to locate the box, but I'm pretty sure it's 12C27 steel and I most likely purchased it 2008-2009.

Curious to know the steel if you find the papers. Interested if the blade is the Pro scapel 2, with a 3 inch blade, or if over 2.5 inches.

cutting edge is roughly 2.25", OAL length is a bit over 5.5", 3/16" thick in the thickest part.

I'll try to track down the box, I looked for it briefly last night with no luck. But I went through my old email and can tell you that I ordered it in August of 2008 from DLT Trading, The wrong knife came in in January of 2009 and was replaced with the correct knife in May of 2009. So it very well could be from the revised edition from '09. If it's from the original run it would be 12C27 steel, if it's from the revised model it would be 52-100 steel.

I'll keep digging as this is now bugging me. I know I talked to Mike Stewart at one time about it, because they put on the bushcraft logo for me.

Thanks for doing that, I just wanted to make sure it was not the about 1 inch scalpel 1.

It's not the pro scalpel 2, I had one of those and it was almost too big to piggy back. Here is an in hand pic for better reference.

Thanks for all your efforts to clarify which it is, I will have to pass on this one, just a tad too small for me.
